It's true that most Cincy natives are the ones who truly enjoy this type of Chili, but I think everyone should try it. I grew up on my mom's homemade and have been to all the different Cincy chili places in OH. Skyline is my favorite. I'm glad to have found one not far from Miami, because I was going to have to make it myself now that I'm not close to home :'P My boyfriend (from NJ) begs me to go here all the time. I either get coneys with everything or I go for the chili on spaghetti (the way I grew up with it). My boyfriend gets the coneys with just chili and cheese and he goes nuts over them. Though, a lot of my friends from MA tried it and were not impressed. But, I think you have be adventurous in life and try it out! Usually for two we pay about $15 and it's cash only, so be aware. They do have an atm though. This is not your typical sit-down restaurant so don't expect a lot there. The waitresses get you your drink, take your order as fast as possible and it will come out in 5 minutes (if you get a chili item). They kinda check up on you but, once you look done, here comes your check! Haha. It's nothing special for a place or service, but it's clean, you get your food fast, it's very inexpensive and the food is unique. Fun place for the kids..the coneys are perfect size.

Hot dogs with chili and cheese are amazing! So is the 4 way! I love this place and get a craving once a month but if you didn't grow up eating chili on spagetti they you may not understand the cult like following.

With all the awesome food around Fort Lauderdale, I definitely don't see the appeal of this place (must be a Cincinnati thing). Food (had a coney with cheese and a small 3-way which is Chili, Cheese, and Spaghetti) wasn't awful but was on par with something I could quickly whip up in my bachelor kitchen for probably 1/4 of what they charged. Bland, very canned and packaged tasting overall. The staff, while not necessarily unfriendly, seemed to consist of teens that obviously wanted to be anywhere but there. Also got my $2 dollar tip yanked out of the tip jar and put to the side like I made some kind of faux pas while I was paying, and didn't even get a "thank you" or "come again". Having lived less than a mile away for the last 2 years, I wondered why I hadn't yet been there. Now that my curiosity is quelled, I don't feel like I've been missing out.

Just took my father out to lunch at Skyline and the guy working the counter was very pleasant to deal with, he even offered us each a sample of the chili since it was our first time. The staff member also took the time to explain that Skyline chili is very thin, and more of a topping than a true soup, but they do offer the chili with beans as well for those that prefer it to be more hearty. We tried a few options on the menu - Cheese Coney, Chilito, and side of Chili - and really enjoyed the taste, but just not a fan of the texture. Personally I prefer a thick, meaty stew when it comes to chili, and if you're looking for southwest style this is not your place. Overall definitely enjoyed the meal, but not sure that this will become a future destination.

Not like eating at a skyline in Cincy but it'll do. Would be sweet if there were more locations in south Florida. I had to drive 30 mins to taste the sweet delight. 4 way onion, chz coney, mt dew and a peppermint patty for desert. Hit the spot.

Based out of Cincy, you either love this place or hate it, depending on your taste. I've been going here since I was a young child and I love everything about Skyline. Three ingredients, chili, spaghetti, and cheese, make for a delightfully filling meal. Definitely a MUST-TRY!

This place has old school charm and cult following potential. The menu is basically Cincinnati style chili on everything you can imagine - hot dogs, spaghetti, potatoes, in a burrito and whatever else you enjoy your chili with. In my mind chili is hearty and meaty but the cinnamon flavor which is where the Cincinnati's claim comes for is not my favorite, but my personal flavor preference does not mean this place should not be visited. It is obvious that there are a lot of repeat customers and it is neat to hear the staff call out the orders by the dish's monikers. My husband loves the coney - a mini hot dog covered in chili, cheese and onions. Also appreciate that Mug root beer is available to enjoy with your preferred chili dish.

The legendary Ohio chili haunt known for its chili with spaghetti dish. The chili is beanless and on the soupier side. It is heavy with cloves or cumin so it will not taste like you expect chili to taste. But it is good, albeit probably not for everybody. The servers are friendly and are helpful. They will even teach you how to eat the chili with spaghetti dish the right, easier, and less messy way. Couple of warnings. First, bring cash. Credit cards are not accepted. And this place is sneaky in terms of being pricey. Second, the portions are surprisingly smaller than you would expect for a joint like this. Indeed, they have their own hot dogs, which are half the size of a standard hot dog.

  • Christopher S.

Fantastic! Generally folks will either love or hate the chili, but you can get a free sample and in my opinion, it is heavenly. Try the classic 3 way (spaghetti, chili, and shredded cheese) or have a couple coneys (mini hotdogs with chili and cheese). Give it a chance, the chili is different but really tasty.

Yuck! Cloves in chili is nasty and a burrito Is a not a tortilla with some more nasty chili inside

  • Peter A.

Love this place... the hot dogs and spaghetti with chili is to die for... it has a distinct taste in the beginning, but you'll be hooked the second time around. My wife complained the first time and now we try to go at least once a month.... why so little ? because we live in Miami and have to drive to Fort Lauderdale, but it's worth it. Going there tomorrow afternoon :-)

  • Shawn P.

Just like you remember! If you remember it being great then it's great. If you remember it being bad and LOADED with cheese and even more sodium - then that's what you get. Seriously, this is just like the original in cincy!

  • Eric T.

If your not from Cincinnati, and have never put your body through the punishment of Skyline don't start now. If you decide to jump in, stop by Walgreen's next door and throw on some Depends first because you will blow it out like a valcano approximately 5 minutes post chili inhalation.

Ok!! Hmm..... Where to begin? First off I was missing a cup of chili ever since I moved down here 2 months ago- so I decided to....... BAD idea this place is disgusting I'm thinking hormel chili from the can maybe 100% better (haven't tried it but I think it might be!!) the staff let's go there- the slob behind the counter umm was like a soft 450 lbs and he had a wife beater on- umm I was hoping his extra long non groomed hairy arm pit hair wasn't going to fall into my chili! Oo the waitress umm she had a tattoo that covered the side of her face like the dude from hangover 2!! O! And her piercings went from her ears to her nose then to her lip then played the disappearing act- wonder where it ended lmao!! Gross don't go here, don't try it, don't even think about it!!

I was really excited when I first saw this place. I was so happy to finally see a hot dog place in South Florida. When I walked through the door I saw that they had counter seating just like any respectable hot dog place should have. So I tried two different dogs from the get go and I was hooked. So this is a great place and I will be back for more.

A quick sit down place for lunch. Not Texas style chili if that's what your expecting, its more like a meat sauce. A small 5 way can fill up the average appetite.

    (4)
  • Gary G.

When I first moved to Cincinnati as a child and tried the chili - I hated it! But after a while I began to crave it and became a huge fan! I agree that it is not any where near Texas style chili and think it is very unfair to compare the two- apples to oranges... The recipe is Greek inspired with spices and chocolate. If you are a newbie I would suggest a regular 3 way and a cheese coney. In Cincinnati these are considered fast food chili joints that serve food fast with good service. It is not for everyone- either you love it or hate it - but it deserves at least a try.....I thought it was pretty typical of the places in Cincy- clean, good friendly service, and an ATM!

  • Craig B.

I tried this so called 'chili' a couple years ago. I grew up in Ohio, right up the river from Cincinnati. We wouldn't have ate this nasty stuff in Ohio. Why would anyone eat it here? This is a place for cheap people to take their kids and feed them really cheap and bad food. The chili is the consistency of mud water, no beef or beans as others have said. Remember what that old lady is the Wendy's commercial said. Where's the beef! Wendy's chili is 100 times better than this place.

1.5 Stars Only eat here if one of the following reasons apply: 1) You are from the Cinci area and are either craving it or homesick 2) You are curious about what chili with a little chocolate in it tastes like Cincinnati chili is way different from any other kind of chili out there. So don't go there if you have a hankering for chili. It's slightly sweet, with hints of cinammon. It's most often served on spaghetti. You either love it or you hate it, and if you love it, it's often because it was a part of your childhood. You order it multiple ways -- the increase in number (2 ways, 3 ways etc) corresponds with the number of toppings on the chili. The office was curious about this place. We all said it was okay, but none of us will be back. The best part was watching all the teenagers assembling the meals because they looked like they were hating life. Uhm that sounds mean, but really it just became funny when we realized that everyone had the same super-bored expression. They also sell this stuff in a can, and I'm really unsure if it would taste better or worse.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, I grew up on Skyline. So you can imagine my delight at finding a location in Ft. Lauderdale. The walls are adorned with Cincinnati decor, and the food is just as delicious as the locations in Ohio. Cheese coneys topped with mountains of shredded cheddar and that delicious chili sauce. 3-Ways that make you want to cry tears of joy. The food is delicious, and our server was really nice and friendly. I will be going back here time and time again. And the prices are fantastic!

Good service. Tried chicken wrap, good though chicken tasted a bit like Tyson premade. The chili 5 way is very good during cooler months!

  • David A.

I love when people write bad reviews based on their own misconceptions. If you go in here expecting Texas chili, you're going to hate this place. If you go in expecting a new experience and are open minded you might love it! I personally LOVE this place, I'm not sure there's anything better than chili, a half pound of cheese and a plate of spaghetti. And I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, not Ohio. So if you're a picky eater or a food snob, go elsewhere, but if you like trying new things, don't miss this place!

So I realize that Skyline chili is a chain, but man every time I go to FTL I have to get me some of that hot dog heaven. And I wonder how I gained all the weight in Fort Lauderdale. As my brother says "it's like the White Castle of hot dogs". Yummy!

  • Diane j.

I love this place its been there forever! Its really a distinct taste either you hate it or love it! The large amount of fresh shredded cheddar cheese is what gets me everytime! If your lookin for variety not the best of places but if u do stop in and try it be careful because if u like it your going to be ADDICTED!!! I always get a 3way which is pasta chili and lots of cheese i also get a coney island which is a little 4inch hot dog with just enough mustard chili onions and again lots of cheese!! like i said its not for everyone i guess thats why theres a few not so great reviews. Oh and when i was there they wer CONSTANTLY washing their hands .....

A bit over priced for what it is and I thought the food was pretty bland. Lissy the server girl there was Good so she gets an extra star for Skyline.

How can you not love some good old chili with lots of cheese on top... it taste great. Try their hot sauce, it makes the food even better.

I visit here every time I'm in Ft Lauderdale visiting my relatives, and they've been coming here for as long as they can remember (decades). Only thing I've ever had are their chili dogs, which are smaller than the typical monster dog you'd find at a football stadium, which is a good thing. I get them loaded with chili and onions and I'm good to go. The food is very consistent; tastes the same every time. They have a fairly unique hot sauce that I love too; it's not like Tabasco or other Louisiana hot sauces, best to try it yourself rather than let me try to come up with a poor description of it. In any case, what really sets this place apart are the people. They have some very hard working staff that have been there a long time and if you take the time to get to know them, you'll be glad you did. Working in food service is far from an easy job, and they deserve credit for still putting forth the same effort and happy faces year after year.

This was my first Skyline experience. A good friend from Ohio would not stop talking about the 4-way and the hotdogs. Blah, blah, blah.... Well, I'll be darned tootin'! Those were the best hotdogs I think I have ever had. It wasn't just the hotdog, but the combination of the chili and the cheese...so delicious. I tried some of my friends 4-way (sounds so wrong) and loved it. At first, I couldn't get past the idea of pasta and chili together, but it, too, was delicious. I have to go back to Texas. There are no Skylines there. So, so sad.

If you're in the mood for a coney or chili dog and you live in south Florida, then Skyline Chili is the place to go. They also have spaghetti with chili and cheese but it's a gut-buster. One thing that's really good and interesting is their greek salad. Actually, it's just the dressing that makes the salad tasty but I've always enjoyed them.

When my office was in Ft Lauderdale I was a regular here for lunch. Didn't grow up in Cincinnati but love the concept of chili over spaghetti. The chili dogs are small but delicious. Parking is still a challenge but worth the effort. Extremely fast service. I am more health conscious then I used to be so perhaps I am better off not being just down the road from Skyline. Nice treat once in a while.

Four way is my preference. I grew up eating this Chili and I adore it. It's not for everyone. You either love it or hate it. The chili has no beans, yes it's watery not thick. The flavor of the chili is what I enjoy. I believe it's the cloves. It gives it a very unique flavor. We stopped in for an early dinner. I have been wanting to get here for their amazing chili forever it seems. We did order a coney but I have never been a fan of their dogs. Now give me a bowl of spaghetti cover it in Chili, add some onions then top it off with shredded cheese, and a must is to add the oyster crackers. Yes it's pure perfection. Service was a bit slow but friendly. It's a very casual place with a few cool swing bench tables outside. We sat inside and they sure could have turned the AC lower as it was hot inside. If you love chili with no beans and a very unique flavor check this place out. It's so nostalgic for me and I'm glad I have the option of coming here instead of having to drive to Ohio. Haha Prices are reasonable as well.

I'm really not sure how to rate Skyline. The chili is... okay. It has an interesting flavor that doesn't taste quite right. Perhaps it's because I'm used to a different type of chili that's more southern. This is beanless with very small bits of ground meat in a tomato sauce. It's just strange. The presentation is excellent. Piled on top of a mound of spaghetti with chopped onions and a mountain of shredded cheese, it's a meal. And I also got a single chili dog on the side - also piled high with cheese. Service was good too. No complaints there at all. It's just a different sort of chili. It might be more your taste, but I can't say that I'll be back. Note: Wear red because you're going to be wearing some of this chili for sure.

  • Mari H.

The food was good - husband got his fave chilli (5-way) and I got the rice and bean bowl. It was my first time at a Skyline (but not his). The food was pretty good but service was not good at all. Very unfriendly staff. I would go to another location for the food but wouldn't rec for the service. Sad!

I've never been there before and ordered two Coney hot dogs. I ate about 1.5 and wasn't all that happy. Our server was nice but didn't offer to refill our drinks until we asked. I won't be going here again!

Ok, it takes a few 5 ways to fall in love with Cincinnati chile but once you do, it is addictive. For a newby, maybe go for a 4 way bean and a cheese coney all the way. Place is clean and the staff as good as any chile parlor in the Queen City. Glad you guys are nearby.

Not impressed at all. Had never been before but assumed any place with chilli in its name would have pretty decent chilli. We found it pretty awful. Chilli had almost no meat in it and was very thin and watery. Could not recommend this place to anyone.

I'm from Cincinnati so I know what to expect. The food was standard (but menu a bit limited) but unfortunately this FL location falls far short of Cincinnati standards. Poor service, charge extra for crackers, and generally pretty neglectful.

nice to have a taste of home, Cincinnati memorabilia on the walls.....uc, xu and my Moeller, fot my friends they need a Elder shirt tho! service a little slower than we're used to in Cincinnati and a little skimpy on the cheese then we get usually. but the servers were nice and smiling and friendly one didn't seem to know what a dry or juicy 3way is but good as always!

This is a great Skyline!! Since we are from Ohio, we had to make a stop here with our friends while we were in town. It did not disappoint! Three ways and skyliners all around, complete with crackers and Skyline hot sauce! Whoo Hoo, it was just like being at home in Cincinnati! We will definitely stop back by next time we are in town. Great service too!

This place is like stepping back in time... Being that I had never been they gave me a free sample to taste... Who does that? I had a bowl with the hot dogs chopped up. It was excellent and served with mustard was divine. Oyster crackers on the table with their own hot sauce was a nice touch. Servers were a tad overwhelmed, but she made up for it with her personality.

Cincinnati chili never has been for everyone. There have always been those who love it, and those who aren't impressed. Nevertheless, the flavor is unique, and unmistakable. I grew up on it. I love the smell when you first walk into the place. The Ft. Lauderdale location is the real deal. Our visit tonight was just fine. Our waitress Karen was very nice and very attentive. We will visit here more often. I had a Five-Way and a Cheese Coney. They were perfect.

The irony is that I lived in Cincinnati for the first 18 years of my life, but the closest skyline was several miles away from my house. Now that I live in Fort Lauderdale, this skyline chili blew me away that it's only a half mile away from my house! Yes... This place is an "authentic" Skyline, everything is perfect as it should be (cheese, crackers, York mints, hot sauce, etc). Been here about 10 times and the service is always great and fast. Food is awesome. Don't ever change a thing, it's perfect!

  • Michael L.

The Cincinnati style chili is decent, although really watery. I had ordered a baked potato with chili, cheese, and sour cream and a connie dog. The waitress never brought me my dog. It wasn't on my check at least, but what really pissed me off was the price of the sour cream. To get a tiny cup of sour cream I had to pay $2.19 and I didn't find this out until I went to pay. The price is insane and the waitress should have told me when I was ordering.

I'm a former Ohioan, so whenever in the area I almost always stop here. Fond memories. So here I am, setting outside on a nice day, the place is busy, but not packed. I'm watching one of the servers wash the window from the inside (so they aren't that busy) yet no one has even acknowledged me. Typical crappy South Florida service. 10 minutes have gone by... Time to go....

I love their Conney Dogs! their mini hot dogs that come with mustard, chili, diced onions, and shredded cheddar cheese! Yummy Also the Chili 3 Way. Which is spaghetti covered in chili, Cheddar cheese, and diced onions. Yummy If you haven't tried it You Should! The staff is friendly and the service is fast.

If you want to know what it would taste like to eat a backward hick town of a city like Cincinnati, Ohio, Skyline offers you that opportunity. Some people, mostly all from Ohio, swear by this place but the best I can do is swear at it. Their leading menu item and claim to fame is the Skyline Chili Coney, which is nothing but a hot dog covered with chili sauce and a huge gob of a rather flavorless shredded cheese, which cheese alone packs a walloping 340 calories along with 22g of fat per serving; with the entire Coney chalking things up with a total of 60mg Cholesterol and 934mg of Sodium. fatsecret.com/calories-n… The sauce is made in Cincinnati, shipped here, so you are getting the real thing, but don't confuse this sauce with a Texas meat sauce, since the two don't even begin to compare. The Cincinnati sauce is far and away more bean than it is anything else with a somewhat bland flavor lacking in complexity and absent any linger finish to it. Skyline, however, has been located here on Federal for years and does have a large dedicated following, so there must be a lot of people who find some merit to the place, but probably more so because of the low prices per caloric content than food quality. To its credit, it is a very clean, very well run operation with a really good, friendly, efficient service staff. So, if you happen to be one of those who enjoy Cincinnati style chili, you can't find better anywhere.

disgusting taste like gas station chilli (gas stations have better hot dogs) No fries hot dogs are super small only good thing is they smother it with shredded cheese

This was a very weird experience. After we sat down, we noticed a server sitting next to us eating Chick-fil-a. The manager, Melissa, was wearing purple underwear shorts that showed her butt - I'm not kidding. I've been to hooters once years ago, and I think Melissa's shorts were smaller than those hot orange shorts they wear...so it was just weird since all the other female employees were in their 60s. Regardless of her purple underwear, Melissa was very attentive and a great server. There were many children in this establishment so their manager choosing to wear purple underwear was just inappropriate considering all the children she would be assisting. The atmosphere is that of a 1980s diner or pizza parlor..the bathroom is outside and you need a key..maybe this used to be a gas station? The "chili" sample they give you does not taste anything like the chili on the items you order. The chili sample is soupy cinnamon weird tasting, then the actual chili on the items you order is very spicy and not sweet at all. This was the worst chili I have ever had in my life. They say it's "Greek chili," but what does that mean exactly? Is Greek chili soupy and gross? Why not serve American chili that is hearty with beans, meat, and a great sauce? The coney dogs are miniature hot dogs buried in unmelted cheddar cheese and their soupy "chili" sauce, which you can easily make at home. Their burrito was filled with their soupy chili sauce and buried in shredded and chopped lettuce and another 2 cups of unmelted cheddar cheese. Would we come here again? No way.

Skyline is from our home state of Ohio. While this store is dated and at the end of the supply chain, they still do a pretty decent job. The food is just like home. I recommend the 4 way with onions, skyliners (hot dogs) with everything and the chillito with everything. All are delicious. Their sweet tea could use a little work, but overall great food and good service. If you want to sit outside, you just order your food to go. They do not have outdoor table service.

I love the food at Skyline and the food here was comparable to other locations. However, the staff here isn't the friendliest group of folks and they are totally separate from the Sunrise location which is also disappointing. They don't offer any sort of VIP or rewards program and since the other location does, why go here? Maybe if I happen to be in the area and am craving their chili, but otherwise, I'll go to the Sunrise one. Also, the portions seem to be smaller here even though I took my food to go. I also don't usually order the coney's but I did here and they weren't as good as I remember them to be. The parking is very limited here as well which makes the experience that much more annoying. I definitely like the Sunrise location better for many reasons which is why I'll stick with them from now on.

Skyline Chili is a place you either love or hate. I was very disappointed. My boyfriend wanted to come here for an afternoon snack as we had a late breakfast and it was too late to eat lunch without spoiling dinner. I am not a food snob. I eat hot dogs from street vendors, at ball parks, curbside hot dog shacks (see yelp.com/biz/tobys-cup-p… ) and even gas stations. We decided to eat at the counter, which reminded me of eating at Woolworth's or at KMart. I don't eat Chili, but I thought it was nice the waitress gave me a sample when I said I never dined here before. I ordered one plain hot dog, which was very small, about 4 inches. My main beef (pun intended) with the place is that the menu says the dogs are grilled and they are not. There is no char on the hot dogs nor do they have that nice grill flavor. If anything they are steamed. My boyfriend likes this joint and had three Coney Islands with the works - onion, shredded cheese (which looked like grocery store shredded mozzarella) from the grocery store and chili. We also were served oyster crackers to start. My guess is they were for the chili, but they were my favorite part of the meal. The positives were the restaurant was clean and service was friendly and fast. We were out within five minutes, and it wasn't fast enough. I would not go back to Skyline Chili.

Food was delicious, it's definitely not good for you, by any means, but boy is it good! Everything is already made and sitting in steaming hot pots ready to be consumed when you first walk in. You literally will get your food within 5 mins of placing your order, so if you are hungry and short on time this is great option. Where Skyline fell short was service. Our waitress kind of sucked. We sat down, ordered drinks, requested menus b/c I haven't been to a Skyline in like 10 years and finally ordered (see pix) Another table sat down, they apparently come in every Saturday, after church. Once that happened our waitress basically dropped us like a bad habit. She got them bibs (yes bibs and I would suggest this as my friend and I were unfortunately wearing a lot of our meals. They also don't serve their chili with spoons--which they should it's spaghetti afterall), hurriedly served them, and attended to their every need. While our glasses set empty, she didn't even bother to ask if we wanted anything else to eat...... Then I got up and went to the cash register to pay for our meal. Our bill with tip was just shy of $20. Next time I'm in the mood to completely blow my diet I will return, I'll ask for a Bib, and sit up at the bar not at the regular tables.

Sorry skyline Yelp is about being truthful. Your chili was almost all water spicy is as spicy could be which is fine with me. Very pricey I also ordered a hot dog how can you charge almost three dollars for something so small don't know what too say THEIR CUTE I just don't know. The chili was horrible Wendy's smokes your chili in taste and flavor it's much better and a hole bunch cheaper. Skyline chili please go too Wendy's buy their chili and copy it. I promise I won't tell anybody. Best of luck won't be back. Yours truly Charles and Bonnie

I've seen this place several times and finally decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised to find a relaxed and casual atmosphere. I had never had Cincinnati style chili before, and it was definitely a new experience. While I enjoyed trying something new, I don't think that it's for me. Most notably, the staff is extremely friendly, and the service was lightning Fast; faster than some fast food places i've been. I would recommend going once to try a style of chili you never had.

Good chili! I had chili spaghetti I would say the basic chili is the best. They let me taste the chili before I ordered. Nice environment !

Loved the 5 way!! Nothing like it in the "food universe". Fastest service of "all time" in any restaurant I have ever visited. Nothing fancy to the decor, but that's ok with me. Many customers coming and going and it's been here for like 50 years, so they must be doing something right. Bottom line this place works for me!

After a day of thrift store shopping we passed skyline and I had been wanting to visit. According to the manager there are a ton in Cincinnati and this location has been here since the 70s. Very simple menu consisting of their amazing Chili over hot dogs, spaghetti or a simple bowl. Not sure what is in this Chili, but it is very different and had a very distinct and memorable flavor. I decided to get two hotdogs, which would be enough food for some but not for a nursing mom. Their hotdogs are nothing to go crazy over. Just a boiled plain dog that is laid on a warmer until used. They top the dogs with their Chili and then with shredded cheddar cheese. Now... This would be a fantastic combo except the dogs were kinda bland and the mound of cheese was cold. All this can be fixed with just a quick trip under a broiler to melt the cheese. The Chili saved these hotdogs. I was still hungry so I then got the spaghetti dish. Spaghetti noodles topped with Chili and shredded cheese. Maybe cause the noodles were hot this was a really good dish! The manager told us how to easily eat this, Greek style, she suggested. Cut it with a knife and pick up pieces. I'll rave about this dish. .. It was great! Really filing and because of the hot spaghetti and Chili the cheese melted a bit easier. If we go back I'll just get the spaghetti Chili. Very good.

If you haven't been here you need to go the five way is awesome its spaghetti topped with chili, a mountain of cheese, ground beef, and onions. If you like to spice it up they have the best hot souce ever !!!

This visit went well. The service is great, and the food is good as well. There is still a strong smell when you walk in. But it does smell clean. I think it's just a mixture of whatever they clean with and the smell of the food being cooked. Personally, I still prefer the Plantation location.

Fair warning- it's not normal Chili! If you aren't from/haven't lived in OH, you should know that it's a bean-free, cinnamon-y sauce, more than a typical chili. But it is amazing! Having spent the majority of my youth as a vegetarian, I didn't try it until college- but damn, I've been hooked ever since. When we moved down to FL, it was a selling point to my husband that there was a Skyline near by. On to this particular location...the people are always friendly and the food is always great and served quickly, really quickly. Chili-cheese sandwiches are my go to order, he loves the cc coneys. Try the spaghetti, if you're really hungry and adventurous- it's yummy. The only downside is the restroom- which is 'truck stop-style'. You need a key and it's outside the restaurant.

We were amazed been wanting to Skyline Chili today at 3 o'clock on Sunday. The food safety sanitation is unacceptable. The girl who waited on us actually went over and touch the hot dog buns and prepared to for hot dogs with your hands. After that I don't know what she did before we got there she took her hair down shook her hair in a mirror and then she touched her lips and her tongue to fold the paper of the receipt. She went back to serving customers actually made another hot dog after touching her mouth and her hair no gloves. One of the cooks in there had a full beard and did not have a hair net on. Very disgusting choice of a laborer hired. The other Cook was cleaning and then he went to use the bathroom outside which this place has no nice bathrooms like everybody else does today you have to ask for a key and go outside to the bathroom like at a gas station in the old days... How disgusting that the owners of this place will not invest one cent in the place to upgrade it. I haven't been there in over a year but now I will never go back. Matter fact tomorrow Monday I'm calling the health department in the Sanitation Department and have them make a visit to this place and see if people have sanitary food license.

I was really excited when I first saw this place. I was so happy to finally see a hot dog place in South Florida. When I walked through the door I saw that they had counter seating just like any respectable hot dog place should have. So I tried two different dogs from the get go and I was hooked. So this is a great place and I will be back for more.

Love this place... the hot dogs and spaghetti with chili is to die for... it has a distinct taste in the beginning, but you'll be hooked the second time around. Going there tomorrow afternoon :-)

Typical Skyline location, rather nostalgic since its been here for almost 40 years. If you like Cincinnati chili, you will love it (as usual), but if you haven't tried it before, be prepared for a bit of a surprise. Bring cash, and try very, very hard not to make a mess. Tips for eating - order a medium 3 way and a cheese coney. Eat the coney first over the 3 way so any bits drop onto the plate. Cut the 3 way gently, and scoop with the fork. Try very hard not to spatter on yourself, or wear dark clothing.

WHAT!! No chili cheese fries!! I flew from NYC to Ft Lauderdale on Wednesday. The first thing I did was go to skyline for chili cheese fries but this location doesn't have any (only at the location on University Drive) AHHHH Wake me up from my bad food dream! But I got the three was and all, well almost, all was better. YUM!

I have made Cincinnati chili at home many times, always to rave reviews, especially because it is sweet and not colon-burning. Eh, tastes vary. I go to Skyline Chili mainly every time Lu calls when he is in the neighborhood. It is good, filling, and you can get beans, onions, cheese on top of chili and spaghetti. It's a sloppy mess with the spaghetti flinging the chili juice all over your shirt (it always seems to miss the napkin no matter where you position it). I wouldn't go here looking for high class cuisine, but for what it is, I like it. So I partially agree with previous reviewers, without the venom.

Try the classic 3 way (spaghetti, chili, and shredded cheese) or have a couple coneys (mini hotdogs with chili and cheese). Give it a chance, the chili is different but really tasty.

A quick sit down place for lunch. Not Texas style chili if that's what your expecting, its more like a meat sauce. A small 5 way can fill up the average appetite.

A bit over priced for what it is and I thought the food was pretty bland. Lissy the server girl there was Good so she gets an extra star for Skyline.
